Cristal, Office Manager

Cristal, our Office Manager, is attending school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician and hopes to utilize her experience at ADC in achieving that goal. Always an avid animal lover, she studied zoology before working in the infant section of a local zoo. She studied Rufus Naped Tamarins for two years while living in Panama with her husband, a soldier. For more than 30 years Cristal has worked with numerous horse breeds but especially enjoys Miniature Horses. She currently owns five that she hopes to show in breed registry shows. She has been competing in Miniature Horse shows since 1988 and has spoken on the topic many times. She is also a carded judge for the World Class Miniature Horse Registry and helps new owners by leading training seminars and one-on-one training sessions.

Cristal, her husband, and two children are originally from NY but have moved around the country during his military career. In addition to her horses – Danny, Brittany, Sneakers, Sarge, and Goldie – she shares her home with her dogs, Ella and Chewy.

Chloe, Receptionist

Chloe is a Virginia born and raised animal lover. She attended school in Woodbridge Virginia where she made her start as a pet caretaker and dog walker. In her free time, she loves to hike and paint, combining her creativity and love for nature. She lives with her boyfriend Alejandro and their two cats: Polly, based on ‘Polly want a cracker’ (because she loves to hop on people’s shoulders) and Milkshake because she has a neurological disorder called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (which makes her shake). These two inspired her to work in the veterinary field. In the future, she and Alejandro plan to adopt a dog and expand their furry family!

Ayla, Assistant

Ayla studied animal science in her undergrad years and has been working with animals for over 10 years. Her animal experience ranges from domestic, livestock, to exotic breeds. Ayla grew up with cats, fish, and Guinea pigs. She made the best decision of her life four years ago when she adopted Shiloh, a shepherd mix. Since college, Ayla has moved back to the DMV and joined our team. She loves the direction her life is headed in the animal field.
In her free time, Ayla enjoys hanging out with Shiloh, yoga, and chocolate.
