Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked. If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call or email the Animal Dental Clinic.
1. What are the clinic hours?
Our office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm, or whenever we are finished with the last patient's procedure. The clinic is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
2. Do I need to have an appointment?
Yes, patients are seen by appointment. When urgent care is needed, we will make every attempt to see your pet the same day. In most cases, any patient can be seen within 72 hours.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Care Credit
4. Can I make payments?
Full payment is required at the time of service.
5. What is the pre-anesthetic blood screening?
The pre-anesthetic blood screening is done to assure safety during the anesthetic procedure, and during the post-operative recovery period. It tests the organ functions, blood cell counts, and clotting function of your pet. The bloodwork may be done by your general practice veterinarian prior to your appointment, or we can run the bloodwork at the Animal Dental Clinic the day of your appointment for your convenience.
6. How long do the sutures stay in after my pet's oral surgery?
We use dissolvable sutures. They will remain for 2-5 weeks. If skin sutures are used, they will be removed 14 days following the surgery.
7. Do you keep pets overnight?
No. Your pet will be ready to go home within a few hours following his or her procedure. In the exceptional case that we feel the patient needs after-hours care, we will refer you to the 24-hour veterinary care facility most convenient to you.
